I believe the best testimonial comes directly from the people I’ve helped.
I'm a breast cancer survivor, married with 2 children, one of which has been working through a drug addiction. I also work as a health care professional. Being a mother, wife, grandmother and health professional, I've found myself in the constant role of caregiver. To everyone but myself. Through my work with Dr. Gionta, I've learned how to take better care of myself. It has been invaluable. She is a great coach, empowers me to take action when very much needed, and encourages me to practice self-care daily!
Dr. Gionta has taught me a lifetime's worth of wisdom in our time working together. She has shown me healthier approaches to living, and helped me balance a life that had fallen way off-center. She has encouraged me to challenge myself, to push past anxieties and old, unhealthy patterns to discover and honor myself in all areas of my life. With Dr. Gionta's help, I am learning to really live, enjoy and own my life.
Dr. Gionta helped me understand my mother's terminal illness. I developed better coping skills over our sessions together. She is compassionate, empathetic and kind. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is going through a difficult time.
Dr. Gionta was very helpful and comforting to my teenage daughter who needed assistance working through normal teenage issues and also the separation of her parents. During family meetings, I was so impressed with her insight and thought provoking questions that I began seeing her myself. Over time, I asked my husband to join and attend marriage counseling. Dr. Gionta was extremely fair and diplomatic, and facilitated the sessions in such a way that we were both able to express ourselves and communicate in a positive way. I would highly recommend Dr. Gionta for personal and marriage counseling, as well as teenagers. She is available and responsive, which is very hard to find these days.
