Dr. Dana Gionta is a psychologist and coach with a specialization in the area of individual and organizational health. Over the past 12 years, she has worked as a clinician, educator, coach and consultant to individuals, families, health professionals, and small to large fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Gionta has a BA in Business from New York University, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. Her uncommon educational foundation in both business and psychology, combined with a strong systems theory perspective, provides her with distinctive assessment and intervention skills that she relies on to help individuals as well as organizations.
Dr. Gionta is an Executive Coach and Senior Consultant for Coverdale
. Her work with Coverdale has focused on leadership and team development in the U.S. and Latin America. Dr. Gionta has coached executives in additional areas related to interpersonal relations, effective communication, professional boundaries, self-care and work/life balance. She is currently collaborating on a book in the area of stress management and wellness.
Dr. Gionta has served as co-chair of the American Psychological Association’s Psychologically Healthy Workplace committee in CT (2009 - 2011), and was a faculty member at the University of New Haven, Department of I/O Psychology. She is a graduate of the Executive Coach Academy in New York City, and is currently completing additional coaching certification through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
